Federal Agents Move In

On Thursday morning, Homeland Security Investigations, ICE, and a host of federal and state agencies descended on the HL-GA Battery Company site in Bryan County. The raid brought construction to a screeching halt. Eyewitnesses described Humvees rolling onto the property, vehicles being searched, and workers scattering in every direction.

The Atlanta office of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives confirmed its participation, declaring online, “Today, @ATFAtlanta joined HSI, FBI, DEA, ICE, GSP and other agencies in a major immigration enforcement operation at the Hyundai mega site battery plant in Bryan County, GA, leading to the apprehension of ~450 unlawful aliens, emphasizing our commitment to community safety.”
