New details are emerging about the woman accused in an ISIS-inspired terror case involving an alleged plot targeting the New York State Capitol.
Federal court documents identify the suspect as Jessica Bowie, a 35-year-old Albany resident who investigators say had repeatedly expressed support for ISIS, discussed jihad online, and formally pledged allegiance to the terrorist organization.
According to the federal criminal complaint, Bowie converted to Islam roughly five years ago and began using the kunya “Aisha Saif.”
