A longtime federal prosecutor who twice temporarily headed one of the Justice Department’s major California offices has been found dead inside a federal building in San Diego after authorities were alerted that he was missing.
Andrew Haden, 48, was discovered Wednesday inside an office at the Edward J. Schwartz Federal Building in downtown San Diego.
Haden had spent well over a decade working as a federal prosecutor and had twice served as acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of California.
