Nearly two months after the shocking discovery of his body, the cause of death for actor Peter Greene has finally been confirmed.
The New York City Office of the Chief Medical Examiner announced Wednesday that Greene, 60, died from a gunshot wound to the left axilla, or armpit, which damaged a major artery. Authorities have officially classified his passing as an accident.
Greene, a character actor best known for his chilling portrayals of villains in movies like Pulp Fiction and The Mask, was found deceased on December 12 inside his New York City apartment. The discovery followed concerns from neighbors about his well-being.
According to his manager, Gregg Edwards, authorities performed a wellness check after music reportedly played nonstop in Greene’s apartment for more than 24 hours. Edwards noted that he had spoken with Greene earlier that week.
