“In the event that Defendants do not choose to purge their contempt, the Court will proceed to identify the individual(s) responsible for the contumacious conduct by determining whose ‘specific act or omission’ caused the noncompliance… The next step would be for the Court, pursuant to the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, to ‘request that the contempt be prosecuted by an attorney for the government. If the government “declines” or “the interest of justice requires,” the Court will ‘appoint another attorney to prosecute the contempt,’” Judge Boasberg wrote.
That’s right—he’s now threatening to appoint his own special prosecutor to go after Trump officials simply for putting American citizens ahead of illegal gang members. The judge claims they violated his restraining order, which had temporarily blocked deportations of thousands of Venezuelan nationals suspected of gang ties.
The order was granted after far-left organizations like the ACLU and Democracy Forward—both notorious for defending illegal aliens over U.S. sovereignty—rushed into court to stop the deportations under the Alien Enemies Act, a law designed to protect America in times of danger.
But Boasberg’s crusade hit a wall earlier this month when the U.S. Supreme Court stepped in. In a major win for the Trump Administration—and for common sense—the High Court vacated Boasberg’s orders, stating clearly that he lacked jurisdiction to interfere with the federal government’s deportation authority.
Chief Justice Roberts joined Justices Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, Thomas, and Alito in the majority decision. The three liberal justices—Kagan, Sotomayor, and Jackson—dissented. Even Justice Amy Coney Barrett dissented in part, showing the Left’s judicial grip is still clinging on, but slipping.
While the Court did rule that the administration must give “reasonable notice” to gang members to challenge deportation orders, they firmly undercut Boasberg’s attempt to block the government from enforcing immigration laws entirely.
Despite this, Boasberg is continuing his warpath, insisting that the Trump Administration is in contempt—even after being overruled by the highest court in the land. He has made it clear he wants blood.
Earlier this month, he hinted at this very move when he signaled that he might hold the administration in contempt—over something they didn’t even do. Now, he’s making good on that threat and taking the unprecedented step of threatening to prosecute government officials for keeping some of the most dangerous criminals on the planet out of our country.

It’s no coincidence that this is happening at the same time Democrats are scrambling to rewrite history and bury the truth about their open-borders agenda. Instead of going after real criminals—the ones assaulting, trafficking, and murdering innocent people—this judge is going after those who tried to stop them.
With the 2024 election heating up and the Left desperate to distract from Biden’s border disaster, it seems their last hope is to criminalize law and order itself.
