PALM BEACH, FL — A dramatic security breach unfolded in the early hours of Sunday morning when law enforcement fatally shot an armed intruder attempting to enter the secure perimeter of President Donald Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate.
Authorities report the suspect, a man in his 20s, was carrying a shotgun and a fuel can when he approached the property around 1:30 a.m., Eastern Time. The confrontation quickly escalated, resulting in the suspect being shot by U.S. Secret Service agents and a deputy from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO).
In an official statement, the Secret Service confirmed that “no U.S. Secret Service or PBSO personnel were injured as a result of the incident, and no Secret Service protectees [were] present at the location.”
