In New Jersey, two Republican municipal council members unfortunately passed away in the previous week. On Wednesday, one of these government employees was fatally shot, taking a life from Franklin. The community as a whole has been greatly alarmed and distressed by this.
The Borough of Milford recently experienced an unimaginable tragedy when Republican councilman and PSE&G employee Russell Heller, 51, was shot and killed in the parking lot of his place of employment. The tragic incident sent shockwaves through both towns as locals struggled to understand such a heinous deed.

In an unexpected turn of events, authorities found that the victim had been attacked by a vengeful ex-employee.
Tragically, after authorities identified the 58-year-old suspect, Gary Curtis’ reign of terror came to an abrupt and unexpected end. He killed himself in his car after being chased by police in neighboring Bridgewater, New Jersey.
On Wednesday morning, a tragic attack took place in Somerset County. When first responders arrived on the site, they discovered that the culprit had already abducted their victim.
“Responding Officers encountered a deceased adult male suffering from a gunshot wound,” the release said. “Emergency Medical Personnel from an area Trauma Center responded to the scene where the male was pronounced deceased.”
Authorities are still working to determine the cause of a fatal shooting, but details regarding possible reasons are hard to come by.
Investigators ruled out any political motives for Heller’s killing on Thursday, citing several elements at work.
In a moving remembrance of Mr. Heller, Milford’s mayor described the late man as “the epitome of energy.”
“The Milford Borough Council is deeply saddened by the loss and our hearts go out to his family,” Mayor Henri Schepens said in the statement, according to NJ.com. “He was so full of life, it’s just unbelievable that he’s gone. Something like this has never happened in borough history. We are very shaken by this.”

Councilwoman Eunice Dwumfour was assaulted in her automobile close to her Sayreville home in a stunning act of violence. The young lawmaker was shot numerous times and is still being treated for critical wounds in the hospital.
A catastrophic car accident brutally ended the life of a 30-year-old man, leaving friends and family to grieve the untimely loss.
Mayor Kilpatrick commended Dwumfour for his commitment to the Sayreville community and its residents, calling him a passionate public servant whose commitment showed in all he did.
“Eunice was a dedicated member of our borough council who was truly committed to serve our residents,” Kilpatrick said. “The fact she was taken from us by this despicable criminal act makes this incident all the more horrifying.”
A beloved councilwoman was killed in a terrible, obviously deliberate attack; her body was discovered with seven gunshot wounds to the head. Police are looking for retribution for this horrific crime.
