Recent testimony by Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel on the expense of the COVID vaccine for the business put him under intense scrutiny. But when Senator Rand Paul questioned Bancel about the dreadful illness known as myocarditis, which causes inflammation of the heart muscle, things really heated up. To say the least, the discussion was intense.

Paul asked, “You’re saying that for ages 16 to 24 among males who take the COVID vaccine, their risk of myocarditis is less than people who get the disease?”
“That is my understanding,” Bancel replied.
“That is not true!” Paul said.
The senator criticized Bancel and said, “I also spoke with your president just last week, and he readily acknowledged in private that, yes, there is an increased risk of myocarditis. The fact that you can’t say it in public is quite disturbing.”
Concerns about Big Pharma’s openness and genuine objectives have grown, and it makes sense given how the globe is still fighting the pandemic. Myocarditis and pericarditis have been reported in people who received the Moderna COVID-19 vaccination, especially after the second dosage and more frequently in males under the age of 30. Paul is among the many people who, rightly alarmed by these events, are calling for greater openness and responsibility in the pharmaceutical sector.
