For years, activists on the Left insisted that police are the root cause of crime and that prisons devastate minority neighborhoods. They demanded fewer arrests, lighter sentences, and sweeping reforms to dismantle what they describe as a racist justice system.
Now, one of their own is publicly rejecting that narrative.
Former BLM activist Xaviaer DuRousseau has broken ranks with the movement he once championed. And his message is so simple it infuriates the very people he used to stand beside.
“Don’t do a crime.”
That’s what DuRousseau told Fox News Digital in a comment that cuts straight through years of activist talking points.
From Street Protests to Conservative Platform
DuRousseau, a 29-year-old from Chicago, was once fully immersed in progressive activism. After George Floyd’s death in 2020, he joined the nationwide protests organized under the Black Lives Matter banner.
