AOC Caught Spending Campaign Cash Like a Billionaire!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Hotel Palacio Provincial bills itself as “first-class” and “adults-only” with “grand colonial charm,” while Hotel El Convento flaunts “old world elegance.”³

On top of that, $10,743 went to high-end meals and catering.⁴ Another $23,000 was spent renting El Choli Coliseo de Puerto Rico.⁵

Social media footage from August shows AOC dancing in box seats at a Bad Bunny concert at that arena alongside Rep. Nydia Velázquez.⁶ The concert attracted celebrities like LeBron James, Iggy Azalea, Penelope Cruz, and Austin Butler.

Meanwhile, AOC was publicly railing against gentrification in Puerto Rico—a stark contrast to her own lavish spending.

Former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer didn’t hold back, calling her a hypocrite: “This is not new for her,” he said.⁷

“Remember the dress that she wore to that famous MET Gala, where it said ‘Tax The Rich’ – it wasn’t exactly ‘off the rack,’ if you will, it was a designer dress made for her.”⁸

Luxury Spending Isn’t New for AOC

The Puerto Rico spree follows a familiar pattern. Back in 2021, she wore that same “Tax The Rich” dress to the Met Gala after securing tickets costing $35,000 per person.⁹

The House Ethics Committee investigated and found she violated rules by underpaying for her gown, accessories, hair, and makeup services.¹⁰ She was ordered to pay an additional $2,733 for the dress and accessories, plus $250 for her fiancé’s meal.¹¹

Her campaign had negotiated the custom designer dress down from over $1,300 to just $200 by labeling it a “rental.”¹² She also delayed payments to vendors for months—a $344 makeup bill went to collections, and a hairstylist waited seven months for $477 before threatening a Department of Labor complaint.¹³¹⁴

AOC earns $174,000 annually as a member of Congress, placing her in the top 5% of American earners. She drives a Tesla and resides in a luxury D.C. apartment building with an infinity pool, where studio rents exceed $2,000 per month.¹⁵

Yet, she continues to treat campaign donations like a trust fund while claiming to fight for working families.

GOP strategist Matt Gorman summarized it bluntly: “AOC wouldn’t be a proper socialist if she wasn’t irresponsibly spending someone else’s money.”¹⁶

Campaign Excuses Don’t Add Up

AOC’s campaign manager, Oliver Hidalgo-Wohlleben, defended the Puerto Rico trip, claiming she “regularly travels to Puerto Rico to support local causes and host events that require both staff and security.”¹⁷

The timing exposes the charade. Her “Fighting Oligarchy” tour with Bernie Sanders coincided with stays in colonial luxury hotels and $23,000 concert venues.¹⁸ The same period saw her drop $5,000 at Vermont’s boutique Hotel Vermont and $3,000 at the trendy Arlo Williamsburg in New York.¹⁹

Florida congressional candidate Michael Carbonara hit the hypocrisy head-on: “AOC rails nonstop against ‘the rich,’ yet drops tens of thousands in campaign cash on luxury hotels, upscale catering, and elite venues on a Puerto Rico trip. Socialism for you, first-class living for her. The hypocrisy writes itself.”²⁰

The National Republican Congressional Committee called it “peak hypocrisy from a walking scam.”²¹

AOC built her political identity on attacking capitalism and the wealthy elite—but campaign filings show she’s living that lifestyle herself.

This isn’t democratic socialism. It’s fraud dressed up in radical left-wing talking points. The mask has slipped: AOC isn’t fighting for working families; she’s using them to fund her box seats and colonial hotels while pretending to be one of them.
