A discussion about the Lindsay Clancy case took an explosive turn on Oprah Winfrey’s podcast when a physician argued that women of color accused of killing their children deserve the same public sympathy that has surrounded Clancy.
The remarks drew loud applause from the studio audience.
The exchange appeared on a new episode of “The Oprah Podcast” examining the Clancy case and postpartum psychosis. The program was recorded in Massachusetts before a live audience and included medical professionals, legal commentators and women who described experiencing postpartum psychosis.
