Schiff, a polarizing figure best known for his role in the Trump-Russia collusion narrative and the January 6 Committee, is now set to take on a new role as a U.S. Senator from California.

Schiff announced his resignation in a Friday statement, expressing gratitude to his constituents. “I just cast my last vote as a member of the House of Representatives,” Schiff shared. “To my LA constituents — thank you for the amazing opportunity to serve. And to the people of the whole state of CA, I’m so grateful for your confidence and look forward to all we can get done together!”
