ABC News has found itself at the center of yet another media firestorm after one of its most recognizable faces, Terry Moran, was suspended following a shocking, hate-filled outburst aimed at former Trump advisor Stephen Miller. The senior national correspondent’s unhinged comments, made in a now-deleted X post, were laced with personal venom and have raised serious questions about the credibility and impartiality of the network’s reporting.
Moran’s attack came in response to President Trump’s bold decision to deploy 2,000 California National Guard troops to Los Angeles for a 60-day mission. This move was ordered to crack down on violent, anti-ICE riots that erupted in the city—riots that left multiple federal immigration agents injured. Trump’s former advisor Stephen Miller had sharply condemned the chaos, calling it a violent “insurrection against the laws and sovereignty of the United States.”
But instead of reporting the facts or analyzing the situation with any semblance of professionalism, Moran used his platform to launch a disgusting tirade against Miller. “He’s a world-class hater. You can see this just by looking at him because you can see that his hatreds are his spiritual nourishment. He eats his hate,” Moran wrote in the now-deleted post. “Trump is a world-class hater. But his hatred only a means to an end, and that end his his own glorification. That’s his spiritual nourishment.”
Moran didn’t stop there. He described Miller as “one of the people who conceptualizes the impulses of the Trumpist movement and translates them into policy,” adding, “It’s not brains. It’s bile.”
