Zelensky DEMANDS More US Support in Fiery X Posts!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Tensions flared during the Oval Office discussion, with Vance calling Zelensky out for his attitude, while Trump made it clear that the U.S. wouldn’t be dragged further into the conflict without assurances of peace. “He’s got to say, ‘I want to make peace,’” Trump told reporters, warning that without the U.S., Ukraine wouldn’t stand a chance. “If he fights it out, it’s not going to be pretty because without us, he doesn’t win.”

Zelensky, however, remains defiant. In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), he expressed gratitude for America’s past support but insisted more is needed. “It’s crucial for us to have President Trump’s support. He wants to end the war, but no one wants peace more than we do. We are the ones living this war in Ukraine. It’s a fight for our freedom, for our very survival,” he wrote.

He also made it clear that he doesn’t trust a ceasefire with Russian President Vladimir Putin, arguing that it would only set Ukraine up for future betrayals. “A ceasefire won’t work with Putin. He has broken ceasefires 25 times over the last ten years. A real peace is the only solution.”

Zelensky’s appeal to the U.S. also included economic incentives, specifically highlighting a minerals agreement as a step toward long-term security. “We are ready to sign the minerals agreement, and it will be the first step toward security guarantees. But it’s not enough, and we need more than just that,” he wrote.

His statements signal that Ukraine is unwilling to negotiate peace without firm commitments from Western allies. “Ukraine wants peace, but it must be a just and lasting peace. For that, we need to be strong at the negotiation table. Peace can only come when we know we have security guarantees, when our army is strong, and our partners are with us.”

President Trump, however, sees the situation differently. He has made it clear that continued U.S. support depends on Ukraine’s willingness to pursue a peace agreement. His administration has also hinted that America’s involvement should be more strategic rather than an open-ended military commitment.

Zelensky, meanwhile, is pressing for even stronger U.S. engagement, claiming that stopping now would leave Ukraine vulnerable. “It will be difficult without the U.S. support. But we can’t lose our will, our freedom, or our people,” he wrote, recalling the horrors of Russian occupation.

He also stressed that Ukraine needs a structured security framework, whether through NATO or another arrangement. “If we cannot be accepted to NATO, we need some clear structure of security guarantees from our allies in the U.S.”

While European nations have signaled readiness to provide financial and military aid, Zelensky remains focused on ensuring that the U.S. plays a key role in defining those security guarantees. “Once these guarantees are in place, we can talk with Russia, Europe, and the U.S. about diplomacy. War alone is too long, and we don’t have enough weapons to push them out entirely.”

Zelensky concluded his social media posts by emphasizing his country’s bond with America and the necessity of maintaining strong ties. “Our relationship with the American President is more than just two leaders; it’s a historic and solid bond between our peoples. That’s why I always begin with words of gratitude from our nation to the American nation.”

Despite his words of appreciation, it’s clear that Zelensky is not backing down from his demands. As he continues pushing for more U.S. aid and security commitments, the question remains: How much longer will America be willing to fund Ukraine’s fight without a clear path to peace?
