Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is once again demanding more U.S. support, taking to social media after his tense meeting at the White House with President Trump. Despite receiving hundreds of billions in aid over the past three years, Zelensky continues to insist that America must “stand more firmly on our side.”
The Ukrainian leader arrived in Washington on Friday, hoping to secure further backing for his war effort. But things didn’t go as planned. He was reportedly dismissed from the White House after a heated exchange with President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, who pushed back against his demands. Zelensky’s refusal to agree to a ceasefire and his perceived disrespect toward Trump didn’t sit well with the administration.

“We’ve been fighting for 3 years, and Ukrainian people need to know that America is on our side,” Zelensky declared, doubling down on his plea for continued military assistance. He also refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing in his meeting with Trump, later telling the media he had “nothing to apologize for.”
