Murder Suspect Busted Behind Big Rig

A routine immigration inspection on an Arizona highway turned into something far more alarming when Border Patrol agents discovered that a commercial truck driver they had pulled over was wanted in connection with a homicide case.

The arrest happened during a recent enforcement operation conducted by the Yuma Sector of U.S. Border Patrol, where agents spent several days targeting illegal immigration activity along major transportation routes in the Southwest.

What they found has renewed concerns about how non-citizens have been able to obtain commercial driving privileges and continue operating large vehicles on American roads.

According to federal officials, agents encountered dozens of illegal aliens driving commercial vehicles during a five-day enforcement effort. Many of those drivers were reportedly using commercial driver’s licenses issued by states that have adopted policies allowing non-citizens to obtain driving credentials.

The operation resulted in the identification of 52 illegal aliens traveling on Arizona highways. Of those, 36 were operating commercial trucks.

The drivers came from multiple countries, including India, Mexico, El Salvador, Turkey, and Russia. Authorities say many had previously received work authorization documents during the Biden administration but were no longer legally authorized to work in the United States.
