Newsom FUMING After Trump Official Drops BOMBSHELL!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Former President Donald Trump saw the writing on the wall and pulled $1 billion in federal funding from the project, which had been authorized under Barack Obama. But when Joe Biden took office, he reversed course, throwing another $3.3 billion of taxpayer money into the failing project.

Now, Americans are being forced to pay for a train that may never run.

Biden’s Billions Under Investigation

U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy isn’t letting the issue slide. He recently announced a full-scale investigation into what happened to the federal funding that was funneled into California’s mismanaged rail project.

“I am directing my staff to review and determine whether the (California High-Speed Rail Authority) has followed through on the commitments it made to receive billions of dollars in federal funding,” Duffy said at a press conference in Los Angeles. “If not, I will have to consider whether that money could be given to deserving infrastructure projects elsewhere in the United States.”

The question on everyone’s mind: where did all the money go?

$16 Billion Spent—And Nothing to Show for It

Over 17 years, California has blown through nearly $16 billion, and yet, not a single train has ever run on the tracks they’ve managed to build.

“Who got the cash? Where did it go?” Duffy asked. “$16 billion is a lot of money. It’s going to be a hard stretch to see how that money was spent.”

The Biden administration has poured billions into the project with little oversight, leaving taxpayers on the hook for what critics are calling a black hole of government waste. Now, Duffy is urging California voters to demand accountability from Newsom, who has championed the project despite its failures.

Congress Steps In to Stop the Madness

California Representative Kevin Kiley (R-CA), who joined Duffy at the press conference, didn’t mince words when describing the situation.

“The worst public infrastructure failure in U.S. history,” Kiley declared.

“There is no plausible scenario where the cost to federal or state taxpayers can be justified,” he continued. “It is past time to stop throwing good money after bad, and we must formally end this project.”

Kiley has already introduced legislation in Congress to block any more federal money from going toward the rail disaster.

Meanwhile, left-wing activists tried to disrupt the press conference, chanting in support of finishing the doomed project. Duffy wasn’t having it.

“It’s been 17 years and $16 billion and no rail has been built,” he fired back. “So if you want to go protest somewhere, if you want to shout at someone, go to the governor’s mansion. Go talk to Democrats in the Legislature who have brought us this crappy project.”

Newsom’s Nightmare Before 2028

With his name being floated for a possible 2028 presidential run, Newsom is desperate to avoid having to explain why he oversaw one of the biggest taxpayer-funded disasters in modern history.

This investigation could turn into a major headache for Newsom—and a major embarrassment on the national stage.
