VIDEO: MI Canvasser Tells Woman to Register in Two Counties!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Gina played along but provided fictitious information while continuing to record the exchange. The canvasser explained that after submitting the forms, “they”—presumably an organized voter registration group—would assign Gina an address in Wayne County so she could vote there. The interaction suggests a coordinated effort to add names to the voter rolls by manufacturing new addresses.

According to Michigan law, registering to vote at more than one address and casting multiple ballots is a serious offense. However, the canvasser, seemingly undeterred, reassured Gina, “No, you don’t have to live down here to vote.”

After leaving the conversation, Gina reported the incident to the Dearborn Heights Police Department, the Michigan Secretary of State’s office, and multiple media outlets. She also captured a photograph of the canvasser’s vehicle and noted the presence of another individual nearby engaged in similar activity.

Despite Gina submitting 17 pages of evidence, including transcripts of her recordings and photographic proof, authorities initially closed the case due to a “lack of evidence.” However, after persistent follow-ups, Dearborn Police Investigator Mark Pugh later confirmed that the investigation remained open. He revealed that the canvasser was allegedly new and “didn’t know that you can’t vote twice.”

This explanation raises further concerns about the integrity of Michigan’s voter registration process. Why would an organization send out untrained canvassers to collect voter registrations? Was this an isolated incident, or part of a broader effort to exploit Michigan’s relaxed voter registration laws?

Michigan has some of the most lenient voter registration policies in the nation, allowing same-day registration and permitting voters to register without a fixed residential address. This has led to vulnerabilities that bad actors may exploit.

In the 2024 election, evidence emerged of a single voter ID being tied to 29 votes in Wayne County, all cast on October 25, according to Michigan Secretary of State data. When questioned, officials dismissed it as a “glitch.” Election integrity expert Tim Vetter warns that such incidents have increased dramatically, stating, “The data shows we had over a fifty-fold increase in duplicate voters between the last two major elections.”

The incident involving Gina is a wake-up call for lawmakers and election officials. If Michigan fails to address the loopholes in its voter registration system, similar fraudulent activities could continue unchecked. As Gina put it, “Things don’t add up here.”

The public deserves transparency and accountability in the election process. Gina’s bravery in exposing this scheme should prompt further investigations into Michigan’s voter registration operations and demand stricter enforcement of existing election laws.

The question remains: how many other cases like Gina’s have gone unreported?
