Two former high-ranking FBI officials are facing criminal allegations after allegedly misleading Congress about the bureau’s involvement in the Hunter Biden investigation.
FBI Director Kash Patel announced Friday that former Deputy Assistant Director Nikki Cole Floris and former Section Chief Bradley Benavides had been arrested over statements they made to lawmakers concerning the FBI’s controversial Foreign Influence Task Force (FITF).
The arrests mark another dramatic development in the ongoing scrutiny of how federal law enforcement handled politically sensitive investigations involving the Biden family.
