American warplanes and Iranian missiles once again dominated headlines as both nations exchanged military blows in a rapidly escalating standoff. The renewed confrontation comes despite ongoing efforts to maintain a ceasefire, with each side accusing the other of provoking the latest round of hostilities.
According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), American forces launched a series of targeted operations against Iranian military infrastructure over the weekend. The strikes reportedly focused on facilities linked to Iran’s drone operations and air defense network.
In a statement posted on X, CENTCOM said it “conducted self-defense strikes on Iranian radar and command and control sites for drones in Goruk, Iran and Qeshm Island this weekend.”
