The resurfaced remarks, uncovered in a new report from Fox News, are raising new questions about the judgment and character of the Democrat attempting to challenge longtime Republican Sen. Susan Collins in what is shaping up to be one of the most closely watched races of the 2026 election cycle.
Platner, who has tried to market himself as an anti-establishment populist with military credentials, is now once again being forced to defend years of vulgar and inflammatory posts connected to a Reddit account he previously admitted belonged to him.
The latest scandal centers around crude comments involving portable toilets and sexually explicit jokes allegedly posted under the username “P-Hustle.”
According to the report, Platner responded to a discussion on Reddit in 2017 by writing, “I still have to jerk off every time I sit in a portas—-er… that blue water smell conditioned me.”
Another resurfaced post from 2021 reportedly involved graphic descriptions of obscene graffiti seen inside a portable toilet while serving overseas.
The comments immediately reignited scrutiny surrounding Platner’s online history, which has already dogged his campaign for months.
