Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials on Saturday released a chilling breakdown of criminal illegal immigrants taken into custody during a recent enforcement surge in Minnesota — a list the agency bluntly described as the “worst of the worst.”
According to ICE, the operation targeted violent offenders who had been living openly in Minnesota communities despite having final orders of removal, in some cases dating back decades. The crimes tied to those arrested include child rape, sexual assault, homicide, manslaughter, attempted murder, kidnapping, and other extreme acts of violence. Fox News was among the outlets to review the agency’s findings.
ICE officials emphasized that many of these individuals were not recent border crossers. Instead, they had remained in the United States for years — even generations — while immigration laws went unenforced and local jurisdictions declined to cooperate with federal authorities.
The agency also took aim at Democratic politicians and immigration activists who have publicly opposed ICE operations, often characterizing illegal immigrants as harmless “neighbors” and labeling enforcement actions as extreme or unnecessary.
