The latest government shutdown might have been about spending on paper, but behind closed doors, it was about something far bigger — Democrats’ obsession with funding their far-left agenda, including healthcare benefits for people in the country illegally.
And when one Republican strategist called them out on national TV, their talking points didn’t stand a chance.
CNN Showdown Exposes the Truth
Republican strategist Scott Jennings went head-to-head with Karen Finney, a former Hillary Clinton campaign aide, during a fiery debate on CNN’s The Source. The exchange started with Finney repeating a familiar Democrat claim — that illegal immigrants don’t receive Medicaid benefits.
Jennings didn’t let that slide.
“Who do you think pays when they go to the emergency room?” Jennings shot back. “It’s the Medicaid emergency program.”
That single question blew the lid off one of the Left’s most repeated lies. Finney, visibly flustered, had no solid response. For once, a conservative voice on CNN refused to let Democrats twist reality unchecked.
