A shocking incident in Chicago has sparked outrage among law enforcement supporters nationwide — after dispatch recordings revealed that Chicago police officers were allegedly told to stand down while federal agents were trapped and under attack by a violent mob.
Federal Agents Surrounded and Rammed by Vehicles
According to the Department of Homeland Security, the confrontation erupted Saturday on Chicago’s South Side when a group of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents were ambushed while conducting what officials described as a routine patrol.
“Were attacked and rammed by vehicles and boxed in by 10 cars,” the department said in a statement.
The agents were roughly 15 miles from ongoing anti-ICE protests outside the federal immigration processing center in Broadview when multiple vehicles began surrounding them. Chaos unfolded as one female suspect allegedly attempted to plow into the agents with a car while brandishing a semi-automatic weapon. She was shot by officers and later taken into custody.
