The Left loves their “yes or no” traps—until a conservative turns logic back on them.
That’s exactly what happened when former TMZ host Van Lathan tried to corner Republican strategist Scott Jennings during a CNN roundtable on immigration enforcement in Chicago.
Lathan, now a progressive podcaster, came armed with the usual emotional bait. The topic: Immigration and Customs Enforcement raids targeting Tren de Aragua, a violent Venezuelan transnational gang accused of spreading chaos across American cities.
Eyewitnesses claimed ICE agents had detained suspects in an apartment complex where “they was bringing kids down, too. Had them zip tied to each other.”
Jennings didn’t bite. Instead, he pointed to the real threat: the gang itself.
“If the federal government knows that there is a nest of Tren de Aragua in a city like Chicago, they have a responsibility, they have an obligation to go get them,” Jennings said.
