Obama Drops 2 Words That Could END Elections

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

Obama tried to justify Newsom’s scheme by pointing fingers at Republicans in Texas.

“We’re only going to do it if and when Texas and/or other Republican states begin to pull these maneuvers. Otherwise, this doesn’t go into effect,” Obama told the audience.

But here’s the reality: Texas Republicans are following the law. California Democrats, on the other hand, want to shred their own Constitution simply because they’re not winning as easily as they’d like.

What Obama and Newsom won’t admit is how slanted California’s maps already are. Republicans make up about 24% of the state’s population, with another 24% identifying as independents. Yet the GOP only holds 17% of California’s seats in Congress. That isn’t a coincidence – it’s the result of decades of rigged systems designed to crush competition.

The independent redistricting commission was supposed to be the answer – a check on politicians who manipulate the process. But once Texas Republicans used legal redistricting to secure their own districts, Democrats suddenly decided fairness wasn’t so important anymore.

Obama’s full-throated support gives Newsom the cover he needs to sell this scheme to California voters.

“Since Texas is taking direction from a partisan White House and gerrymandering in the middle of a decade to try and maintain the House despite their unpopular policies, I have tremendous respect for how Governor Newsom has approached this,” Obama wrote on X.

The message couldn’t be clearer: Democrats only support “rules” when they work in their favor.

Obama even claimed in the same post that gerrymandering should be banned and that politics should be a “fair fight” between both parties. But that’s exactly what California’s commission was supposed to deliver – and now Democrats want to destroy it.

This fight isn’t just about California or Texas. It’s about how Democrats behave when they think they can get away with rewriting the rules.

For years, Obama lectured Americans about protecting “norms” and “democracy.” Now, he’s cheering on Newsom’s plan to bulldoze California’s Constitution because it might help Democrats win more seats.

The commission was meant to protect voters from political manipulation. It was hailed as a reform that both parties could respect. But now that Democrats fear losing ground nationally, they’re ready to trash the very system they once celebrated.

Republican lawmakers in California are already preparing to push back. They should. This scheme isn’t just another bad idea – it’s an outright violation of California’s Constitution.

Newsom wants to dismantle the commission because it’s politically inconvenient. And Obama – the man who once said “no one is above the law” – is cheering him on.

If Democrats succeed in California, it’s only a matter of time before they try the same trick in every blue state they control. And unless voters push back, nothing will stop them.

That’s the Democrats’ playbook: when the rules don’t help them win, they simply change the rules.
