The fight over transgender athletes just ignited another firestorm — this time in Illinois.
At Conant High School in Hoffman Estates, parents were blindsided after learning that a biological male was allowed onto the girls’ volleyball team while several actual girls were cut. For families who have invested years into their daughters’ athletic dreams, it was a gut punch.
One mother, who spoke anonymously to Fox News, revealed that her daughter came home from school in tears after finding out she didn’t make the team. Meanwhile, the transgender student not only secured a spot — but then abruptly quit the team the very next day.
The decision left parents outraged. Their daughters had trained, practiced, and sacrificed to earn those positions, only to see an unfair policy take it away. To make matters worse, the girls’ longtime volleyball coach reportedly resigned from coaching the girls’ squad altogether, refusing to participate in what she clearly saw as an injustice.
