But now that Trump is back in the Oval Office, some of his most loyal defenders are suddenly switching gears.
Media Allies Flip the Script
According to Kelly, Trump-friendly influencers are abruptly shifting their stance on Epstein—conveniently in lockstep with the administration.
“You now have some MAGA influencers clearly on direction of the White House, saying, ‘Okay, I’m done,’” she told her audience.
She didn’t hold back, calling out Fox News host Laura Ingraham by name.
“You had Laura Ingraham go on her show, on Fox News, last night, [saying] Oh, well, you know, after there was the, you know, the pile on at Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point event where all this Republican infighting, and then kind of suggested she’s moving on from Epstein,” Kelly said.
Kelly made it clear she’s not letting that kind of revisionist history slide.
“Okay, she was part of it. I like Laura, but she 100% stood up there and fanned this flame,” she declared.
Voters Still Want the Truth
This isn’t just a social media trend. It’s a national concern. Polling shows Americans are not buying the official story.
“The vast majority of Americans actually think that there is a cover up of some sort that he was murdered and would like more disclosure,” Kelly added.
A Rasmussen survey found that only 21% of respondents believe Epstein died by suicide. That leaves nearly 80% convinced there’s more to the story—and they want answers.
Kelly: “I Refuse to Be CNN for Trump”
What truly stunned viewers was Kelly’s direct shot at conservative media outlets mimicking liberal tactics.
“I refuse, refuse to be the CNN of Trump 2.0 where they just trusted the administration on Biden’s mental acuity and willingly, by doing so, ignored the biggest crisis and controversy scandal in modern presidential history,” she said.
Kelly says she supports Trump—but that doesn’t mean she’s turning a blind eye.
“My position is, you can trust, but you must verify,” she emphasized.
That’s a far cry from what we’re seeing from other outlets afraid of ruffling feathers.
Holding the Line on Integrity
Kelly acknowledged her ties to the administration but made one thing crystal clear: she won’t trade integrity for access.
“I’m also not in the business of protecting Donald Trump again, that’s what the New York Times for a Democrat. That’s not me. That’s not any honest journalist,” she said.
She praised Trump’s economic wins, such as the June surplus and his Nobel Peace Prize nomination—but said those victories don’t erase the need for transparency.
“For the first time, we weren’t spending into the deficit. We actually were in the black instead of in the red in the United States of America,” Kelly pointed out.
Even mainstream outlets credited Trump’s tariff policies for the improvement. But as Kelly noted, those accomplishments shouldn’t grant him a media shield.
Journalism vs. Propaganda
Kelly finished with a message that every so-called journalist needs to hear.
“You approach all stories and everything fed to you by an administration official, like them, love them, respect them, trust them, or not, with a happy dose of skepticism, and you drill down and drill down and drill down until you think you’ve actually captured the story,” she explained.
That’s the job. Not flattery. Not fan service. Truth.
The American people didn’t elect Trump for business as usual. And they certainly didn’t vote for another round of media cover-ups.
Megyn Kelly is holding the line—and reminding everyone what journalism is supposed to be.
