In a late-Friday bombshell, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard rocked Washington by announcing she is sending a trove of declassified documents to the Department of Justice—documents that expose the deep roots of the Russia collusion hoax and implicate key Obama-era figures in what she describes as a calculated effort to derail Donald Trump’s presidency.
At the center of this firestorm is a 2016 memo that had been buried from the public until now. The document reveals that top U.S. intelligence officials had concluded that Russia did not interfere in the 2016 election in a way that could have impacted the results—directly contradicting the narrative spun by former CIA Director John Brennan and ex-FBI chief James Comey.
According to the memo, briefed to then-President Barack Obama, “Russian and criminal actors did not impact recent US election results by conducting malicious cyber activities against election infrastructure.” It also stated that any criminal activity “failed to reach the scale and sophistication necessary to change election outcomes.”
