Bret Baier Goes Off-Script on Trump News!

Fox News’ Bret Baier opened his recent segment on Special Report under the banner “Trump’s ‘Epstein Files Saga,’” signaling that the explosive scandal surrounding Jeffrey Epstein is far from over—and that questions surrounding who was involved continue to haunt both Washington and the media.

Baier began the show by highlighting Trump’s latest statement, saying, “President Trump says his attorney general should release whatever documents she thinks are credible concerning the late businessman and convicted sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein.” The call for full transparency has reignited fierce debate within the conservative base, where many feel that key players are still being protected.

“This is just the latest twist in a controversy that refuses to die,” Baier continued, before turning the spotlight over to correspondent David Spunt, adding, “This story does not go away here.” And indeed, it hasn’t.

The Department of Justice is currently conducting a review of documents tied to Epstein after watchdog group Judicial Watch filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit. The legal action stems from the DOJ and FBI’s failure to respond to multiple FOIA requests for critical Epstein-related records.
