DeSantis Just Handed Trump A Major Gift!

That’s right. The natural predators and extreme climate of the Everglades are being treated as assets to reduce the risk of escapes. Florida officials say the state’s infamous wildlife — including alligators and pythons — will serve as a first line of defense.

CNN’s Rafael Romo confirmed that the state called the plan “efficient and low-cost because Mother Nature will provide much of the security.”

Even the Department of Homeland Security joined the media frenzy by posting an AI-generated image of alligators wearing ICE hats outside a barbed-wire facility. Immigration groups were quick to label the post “deeply offensive,” but DHS stood by its authenticity.

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier, a longtime DeSantis ally, dubbed the facility “Alligator Alcatraz,” calling it a bold sign that “Florida stands shoulder-to-shoulder with federal immigration enforcement.”

Predictably, left-wing protesters and environmental groups descended on the site over the weekend. Their outrage was as dramatic as ever.

Former Florida State Senator Jose Javier Rodriguez raged, “What we see here is an effort to say that the Everglades are not a backdrop for political theater.”

Another protester, Giancarlo Castellanos, added, “They’re using sacred land for such a sinister and vile goal — end goal, which is not okay, right, in any sense of the word. And on top of that, it is just the environmental impact that this will have as well.”

Despite the outcry, crews haven’t slowed down a bit. Construction is moving forward rapidly to meet DeSantis’s July deadline. Uthmeier reportedly proposed the site after DeSantis asked state leaders to fast-track temporary detention center locations.

And he’s not done yet.

DeSantis is floating a second facility — this time at Camp Blanding, a Florida National Guard base southwest of Jacksonville. It’s part of what looks to be a long-term, state-level effort to help President Trump take control of the border.

According to DHS, Florida may even be able to recoup construction costs through FEMA reimbursements. That would mean Florida taxpayers won’t have to foot the full bill for what is clearly a federal problem.

Governor DeSantis is showing once again that he’s one of the few elected officials willing to stand tall with Trump on immigration.

“Alligator Alcatraz” isn’t just a detention facility — it’s a statement. It’s proof that Florida is leading the way in using bold, out-of-the-box solutions to tackle the illegal immigration crisis.

Trump voters wanted action. They’re getting it.

The facility is expected to dramatically increase the ability to hold and process illegal immigrants caught by ICE. Despite complaints from activists and environmentalists, not a single lawsuit has yet stopped the project.

Ron DeSantis is proving that Florida won’t be a sanctuary state. With “Alligator Alcatraz,” he’s made it clear that he’s ready to take immigration enforcement into his own hands — and into the swamp.

While Democrats complain and activists protest, DeSantis is getting the job done.

This isn’t political theater. It’s real action. And it’s exactly the kind of leadership that Trump allies have been demanding from governors across the country.

With Florida leading the charge, America’s immigration enforcement might finally have some teeth — literally.
