Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is once again charging headfirst into the fight to secure America’s borders — and this time, he’s backing President Trump with a move so daring, it’s left liberals fuming and Trump supporters cheering.
In a show of total support for President Donald Trump’s aggressive immigration crackdown, DeSantis has greenlit the construction of a one-of-a-kind detention facility — right in the middle of the Everglades. The nickname? “Alligator Alcatraz.”
This is no ordinary facility. DeSantis is taking border enforcement to the next level by harnessing the untamed wilderness of southern Florida. The new center is rising at the Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport, about 45 miles outside Miami — in the heart of unforgiving swamp country.
Phase one of the project is expected to house 5,000 detainees by early July. When fully completed, it will span a massive 30 square miles. The cost? Hundreds of millions annually — but Florida officials say it’s worth every penny to protect American communities.
And here’s the kicker that’s sending the Left into a meltdown: Mother Nature is part of the security detail.
