But it’s not just Mamdani’s reckless economic platform that has New Yorkers on edge.
Jewish leaders and pro-Israel organizations are sounding the alarm over Mamdani’s history of anti-Israel activism and rhetoric, which many believe crosses the line into outright antisemitism.
The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) issued an urgent call on social media following Mamdani’s victory:
“Evacuate NYC immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter.”
In a longer post, the group didn’t hold back in condemning both Mamdani and the Democratic Party for embracing extremism:
“Tonight, Democrats have once again failed to stand with Jewish Americans—this time in New York City.
Raging antisemite, anti-American, anti-Israel Democrat Socialist Zohran Mamdani will be a total disaster for Jewish residents. And Democrat leaders—Senator Chuck Schumer, Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, and Governor Kathy Hochul—let it happen. Their silence, dereliction of duty, and surrender to this madness are embarrassing and pathetic.
This is yet another data point proving what’s become undeniable: Democrats continue to nominate and embrace radical extremists who are fundamentally opposed to the values and priorities of the Jewish community.
As long as they refuse to change course, they will continue to hemorrhage Jewish support.”
The warning signs are flashing bright red. Jewish organizations across the political spectrum have begun advising their communities to seriously consider leaving New York City, where they say they no longer feel safe or supported by the city’s Democratic leadership.
Betar USA—part of the international Zionist youth movement founded by Ze’ev Jabotinsky—echoed the Republican Jewish Coalition’s call to flee, joining a growing chorus of concern that the city is becoming openly hostile to its Jewish residents.
What’s raising even more eyebrows is the complete silence from the party’s top brass. Neither Senator Chuck Schumer—himself Jewish—nor House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries nor Governor Kathy Hochul have said a word about Mamdani’s past remarks or the growing fears within the Jewish community.
Their refusal to condemn Mamdani’s divisive record or stand up for pro-Israel citizens sends a chilling message about the direction of the Democratic Party.
While Cuomo may be out of the spotlight, what’s stepping in to replace him is far more dangerous than a disgraced politician. It’s a radical agenda backed by activists who see Israel as the enemy and America as fundamentally flawed.
With Mamdani now the Democrat nominee for the most powerful city office in the country, the stakes have never been higher. Will Jewish voters continue to support a party that appears to be abandoning them? Or will this moment finally mark a political realignment in the Big Apple?
One thing is clear: This election wasn’t just about one candidate losing. It was about a city choosing sides—and many are already packing their bags.
