According to Bongino, it took only a few weeks on the job before whistleblowers within the agency started coming forward. These agents, reportedly disgusted by the bureau’s compromised state under Comey, helped guide Bongino’s team to the concealed room.
“We were there a couple of weeks, and luckily, there were people up there who grabbed us by the arm and said, ‘Thank you for being here.’”
He described a sense of betrayal and frustration among the honest FBI rank and file who were unaware that such a stash of materials even existed. The room had not been disclosed during the transition or any prior briefings. What’s inside could reportedly implicate major political players and upend carefully constructed narratives.
“A lot of stuff is from the Comey era, and we are working our damndest to declassify…Once that gets done, and you read some of the stuff we found, you’re going to be stunned.”
Bongino confirmed that efforts are now underway to declassify the materials found in the room. Though he didn’t get into specific details about the documents, the urgency and intensity of his words spoke volumes. If the contents are as incriminating as Bongino suggests, the fallout could extend far beyond Comey himself — possibly reaching deep into the Biden administration and other remnants of the Obama-era intelligence apparatus.
WATCH:
“Wait ’til you read this stuff that’s coming out.”
Bongino’s comments suggest a culture of deep-seated corruption that thrived under Comey’s leadership. The revelations raise serious concerns about the integrity of past investigations and the motives behind them. Why was this evidence buried? What does it contain? And who had the most to lose if it were discovered?
This story is still developing, but one thing is crystal clear: the American people deserve answers. If public trust in the FBI is to be restored, then transparency must come first — no matter how uncomfortable the truth may be for those in power.
As Dan Bongino continues to push for declassification, the nation waits with bated breath. The swamp may have gotten away with a lot in the past, but if these documents come to light, that era of secrecy and political favoritism might finally come crashing down.
Stay tuned. This is far from over.
