A shocking scene in Prescott, Arizona, has ended the career of a local judge in humiliating fashion. Yavapai County Superior Court Judge Pro Tempore Kristyne Schaaf-Olson is out of a job after a drunken night spiraled into public indecency, chaos, and an embarrassing police confrontation captured on body cam video.
The incident unfolded in the early hours of October 4, around 1:30 a.m., when officers were called after witnesses reported a woman urinating in public. The woman turned out to be 42-year-old Schaaf-Olson, a sitting judge who was found squatting in the bushes with her pants down — clearly intoxicated and unable to compose herself.
When police arrived, what they saw was beyond shocking for someone sworn to uphold the law. Body camera footage obtained by Fox 10 shows the visibly drunk judge confronted by an officer who bluntly said, “This is disgusting,” and “This is unacceptable.” The footage captured a judge who couldn’t even spell her own name when questioned, leading the officer to remark, “She’s useless. She can’t even spell her name.”
