Recent sources suggest that Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia is hoping to be nominated as former President Donald Trump’s running mate for the 2024 nomination effort; however, the specific identity of Trump’s running mate option for the nomination bid is still unknown.
Jonathan Allen of NBC reported on Wednesday that many individuals have had conversations with Greene and have been informed that “about her weighty ambitions,” Mediaite noted. “The second-term congresswoman has managed to align herself with the top Republican in the House, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), acting as one of the Republican’s most vocal allies in his fight to become House speaker.”

“This is no shrinking violet, she’s ambitious — she’s not shy about that, nor should she be,” claimed Steve Bannon, host of the popular podcast “War Room” and one of Trump’s first and most influential political advisers.
“She sees herself on the shortlist for Trump’s VP. Paraphrasing Cokie Roberts, when MTG looks in the mirror she sees a potential president smiling back,” In his addition, he made a reference to the deceased political reporter who had worked for many news organizations, including NPR, ABC News, and others.
In addition, NBC News stated:
Greene has received advice from many people, and a second source has said that her “whole vision is to be vice president.” The source, who is connected to Trump but spoke on the condition of anonymity in order to reveal private talks, said that he also thinks Greene would be on Trump’s short list of potential candidates.
As part of a brand makeover that has become central to Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s political endeavors, she is aiming to carve out a place for herself between the conservative and establishment sides of her party.
“She’s both strategic and disciplined — she made a power move, knowing it would run up hard against her most ardent crew,” Bannon added. “She was prepared to take the intense heat/hatred short-term for the long-term goal of being a player.”
NBC News noted further: “Her push for McCarthy alienated some of her allies in the House Freedom Caucus and like-minded conservative activists, but that was a calculated risk, according to Bannon. Trump has not publicly given any indication that he is seriously considering a vice-presidential pick at this early point in the process, and aides did not respond to NBC News’ inquiries about Greene’s chances of ending up on a Trump ticket.”
It is not the first time that Greene’s candidacy for the office of Vice President has been brought up; his name has been mentioned in connection with the possibility of it being filled by Trump.
In October, Robert Draper of the New York Times Magazine gave an interview to MSNBC to express his opinion, which was that Georgia Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene may be on Trump’s ticket for the presidential election in 2021.
“To be fair, it’s very likely that Trump has had this conversation with half a dozen other people too,” He shared this information with anchor Ali Velshi, noting that Greene may have something other Republican women don’t have.
“What Greene possesses that Trump so craves is loyalty. She has always been there for Trump. She has always had his back and after his experience with his last running mate, Mike Pence, it’s clear that he’s going to prize loyalty above all else, so I wouldn’t count it out,” he said.
During a prior interview with The Daily Beast’s “New Abnormal” podcast, Draper shared his thoughts on the subject “that Greene had risen quickly in her first term in Congress by using the same tactics she honed as a right-wing social media influencer harassing Democratic staffers, and she could shoot to the second-highest office in government,” Raw Story reported.
“Republicans kind of wanted to kick her to the curb immediately,” said Draper, per the outlet. “But instead, she became a fundraising dynamo, came to have this huge social media influence, and ultimately came to be very influential within the party itself.”
Since February, President Trump has expressed his opinion about the possibility of Representative Greene serving as his vice presidential running partner in the next election.
“[Trump] has every reason to expect that Greene would be by his side and would be his proximate warrior” Draper said in the following that they had been through everything.
