President Donald Trump says the American people are being deliberately misled after he personally reviewed viral footage from a deadly ICE encounter in Minneapolis, exposing a key detail local Democrat officials appear desperate to dismiss.
As federal immigration enforcement ramps up nationwide, Minneapolis has become ground zero for resistance from left-wing politicians and activist networks determined to obstruct ICE operations at any cost.
A Deadly Encounter During Massive Enforcement Sweep
The controversy centers on a fatal shooting involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement during a large-scale enforcement action in South Minneapolis. A 37-year-old woman was killed after an ICE officer opened fire near 34th Street and Portland Avenue, not far from the site of George Floyd’s death in 2020.
Video of the incident spread rapidly across social media, prompting immediate outrage from Democrat officials before federal investigators could even finish preliminary reviews.
Trump, however, decided to see the footage for himself.
“I have just viewed the clip of the event which took place in Minneapolis, Minnesota,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “It is a horrible thing to watch.”
