WATCH: Mace Takes Down Gowdy with Epic Clapback!

Mace, known for her unapologetic and fiery rhetoric, didn’t hesitate to respond. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she unleashed a blistering takedown of Gowdy, referencing his role as chair of the House committee that investigated the 2012 Benghazi attack. “You let Hillary Clinton off the hook for Benghazi. Sit your ass back down,” she wrote, reminding audiences of Gowdy’s perceived shortcomings during the high-profile investigation.

The Benghazi probe, which Gowdy led, centered on the Obama administration’s handling of the 2012 terror attack that left four Americans dead. Despite evidence that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton used private email accounts during her tenure, the committee issued no criminal referrals. Mace’s comments echoed criticisms that Gowdy failed to hold Clinton accountable.

Gaetz, who also faced attacks from Gowdy in the past, expressed his support for Mace’s rebuttal, simply responding to her post with, “True!”

Mace further escalated the clash by trolling Gowdy in a subsequent post, sharing a photo of him alongside a mocking caption: “Which bathroom do we think Trey Gowdy uses?” The jab was a swipe at Gowdy’s appearance, which she compared to controversial soccer star Megan Rapinoe.

The congresswoman also defended her decision to vote against the government funding bill during an interview on Jesse Watters Primetime. Mace argued that the bill failed to address concerns about excessive spending. “The CR tonight spent the same exact amount of money today as it did in the one yesterday,” she said, referring to the Continuing Resolution. “I don’t want to continue Joe Biden levels of spending months into Trump’s presidency.”

Just Released: Trump White House Collector’s Bobblehead!

This isn’t the first time Gowdy has clashed with MAGA-aligned Republicans. Last year, he dismissed Gaetz’s push to nominate Trump’s former Attorney General as “dumbfounding” and accused the Florida congressman of corruption. The remarks prompted sharp rebukes from conservative commentators and lawmakers alike.

Watch below:

Mace’s comments highlight ongoing divisions within the GOP as it grapples with the fallout from McCarthy’s ouster and debates over the party’s direction. For Mace and Gaetz, the fight represents a broader battle over accountability, fiscal responsibility, and loyalty within the Republican ranks.
