Two Virginia parents just reminded America what real grit looks like. Faced with an impossible $125,000 court bond and a ticking clock, they didn’t fold — they fought back, rallied support, and crushed their goal in time to defend their sons.

Judge’s Bond Order Sparks Outrage
Last Friday, Clinton-appointed U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema blindsided Seth Wolfe and Renae Smith with a shocking order: post a $125,000 bond by Wednesday or risk losing their federal lawsuit against Loudoun County Public Schools. The case centers on their teenage sons, who were suspended after objecting to a biological female entering the boys’ locker room and recording them while they changed.
The kicker? The money wasn’t for legal costs — it was to cover the school district’s potential attorney fees if the parents lost, even though the district already had insurance for those expenses.
Co-counsel Josh Hetzler blasted the move: “We have serious doubts that such a bond can be legally required… especially when the government acknowledged in court that its insurance policy is covering legal costs.”
