Viral Video Shows Chaos Inside Five Guys After NBA Finals

In one of the most alarming moments captured on video, several individuals are seen throwing chairs directly at the worker before at least three of them jumped over the counter. Once behind the counter, the group allegedly tackled him to the ground while others continued launching objects into the fray. Chairs were piled onto the victim as the beating continued, leaving him pinned beneath the chaos.

The New York Post reported the severity of the incident, noting that the employee suffered visible injuries. As stated in the report: “The violent crew entered the burger joint on West 42nd Street near Seventh Avenue and assaulted a 24-year-old employee around 3 a.m. on Thursday, leaving him bloodied behind the counter, according to the NYPD.”

Authorities further confirmed that the worker sustained a laceration to his right arm during the attack. Law enforcement sources also suggested the incident is part of a broader concern about rising disorder in the area, particularly during late-night hours when large crowds are still present in Midtown Manhattan.

One of the most chilling aspects of the video is the reaction from a bystander filming the attack. Instead of intervening or calling for help, the individual appears to react with excitement as the violence unfolds. In the footage, a voice can be heard screaming, “Oh! They killing him!” followed by celebratory sounds, including “woo!”—a moment that has sparked outrage online.

The clip was widely shared on social media, where users expressed shock at the level of violence and the apparent lack of immediate intervention. One post by Matt Van Swol on X captured the tone of public frustration. He wrote: “WHAT THE HELL?!!!!” and added, “WE DON’T HAVE TO LIVE LIKE THIS!!!!!”

Van Swol also described the scene in stark terms, posting:
WHAT THE HELL?!!!!

A group of “teens” vandalized a Five Guys and started TERRORIZING THE EMPLOYEES.

The “teens” began THROWING CHAIRS AT THE STAFF AND THROUGH THE WINDOWS!!!!

BRAWLS BROKE OUT AND PATRONS BEGAN RUNNING FOR THEIR LIVES.

The incident comes amid broader concerns about disorder in New York City following large public gatherings tied to sports celebrations. Even after the Knicks’ postseason run ended, reports indicate that pockets of violence and unrest continued to surface across the city, raising questions about crowd control and enforcement in heavily populated entertainment districts.

As The Gateway Pundit previously noted, post-event celebrations have at times devolved into destructive scenes across parts of the city, including incidents involving property damage, clashes with law enforcement, and multiple injuries. Reports have included vehicles being set on fire, police cars damaged, and streets overtaken by large unruly crowds. In separate incidents connected to recent unrest, authorities also documented multiple stabbings and at least one shooting involving a 17-year-old.

As of now, no arrests have been announced in connection with the Five Guys attack. Police have not confirmed the identities of those involved, and Five Guys has not issued an immediate public statement regarding the incident.

The viral video continues to circulate widely, fueling renewed debate over urban safety, youth violence, and the growing frequency of public assaults being captured and shared in real time.
