In a chilling disclosure, Ohio Senator JD Vance shared details of a phone call he received from former President Donald Trump just minutes after Trump became the target of a second assassination attempt. Vance, speaking at the Faith and Freedom Coalition event in Georgia, relayed how the conversation unfolded shortly after the Secret Service thwarted the attack.
“He says, ‘JD, you’re not going to believe this, but they tried to do it again,’” Vance recalled, recounting Trump’s words to a crowd of supporters. Trump had been playing golf at his Palm Beach international golf course when Secret Service agents spotted an armed gunman attempting to take aim at the former president.
