US Military Strikes Iranian Missile Site in “Self-Defense”

As diplomatic negotiations continue in an effort to bring an end to the ongoing tensions between the United States and Iran, American military forces say they have successfully disrupted multiple Iranian actions that posed an immediate threat to U.S. personnel in the region.

The situation remains highly volatile, but U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed that recent operations were carried out in what it describes as defensive measures aimed at protecting American troops and allied interests in the Middle East.

According to Fox News, CENTCOM characterized the latest actions as “self-defense strikes,” underscoring that the operations were conducted while broader diplomatic discussions and a fragile ceasefire framework remain in place.

In a public statement, CENTCOM representative Capt. Tim Hawkins provided additional detail on the scope and intent of the operations.
