In a stunning twist that has the left grasping for explanations, former President Donald Trump’s team has pulled off what the Biden administration couldn’t in four years — progress on a Middle East hostage deal with Hamas. And even the most outspoken voices on the far-left are being forced to admit it.
Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian, co-hosts of the ultra-progressive YouTube show The Young Turks, dropped jaws on Wednesday when they acknowledged Trump’s surprisingly effective diplomacy. In an uncharacteristically honest segment, both hosts admitted the Trump camp has outperformed expectations in navigating one of the world’s most volatile conflicts.
“I’ll give, uh, a lot of credit here to Donald Trump,” Uygur said. “And if you’re on the left and you’re like ‘oh, he brought home a hostage and cut out Israel but he’s Trump, boo, I don’t want to give him credit’ — what did you, what did you need? Like, so did you not want to bring home a hostage?”
