President Donald Trump has taken his battle against judicial overreach to the U.S. Supreme Court, aiming to overturn Judge Amy Berman Jackson’s reinstatement of Hampton Dellinger as head of the Office of Special Counsel.

Judicial Overreach Defies Trump’s Authority
Last week, President Trump dismissed Dellinger, asserting his constitutional authority. But Dellinger challenged the removal in court, where Obama-appointed Judge Jackson issued an administrative stay, blocking Trump’s decision and keeping Dellinger in charge. Jackson even demanded that Dellinger retain access to agency resources and barred Trump from installing a replacement.

The Trump Justice Department appealed, but a panel of judges—Florence Pan (Biden), Michelle Childs (Obama), and Greg Katsas (Trump)—rejected the appeal, ruling that Trump could not challenge the stay.
