Trump Surges: Black Male Support Nearly DOUBLES!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

This shift is particularly notable among young, diverse, and working-class voters, who Buchanan identified as instrumental in Trump’s electoral success. “Take the ticked-off, young, diverse, working-class voters that propelled Trump to the White House for example. They were a key constituency that gave Trump an edge over Harris as white voters stayed flat in their margin for Trump,” he added.

The Democratic Party, long considered the political home for Black voters, now faces a sobering reality. The same poll reveals that congressional Democrats are struggling with a 40% favorability rating, while 54% of voters hold an unfavorable view of them. In stark contrast, congressional Republicans are nearly even, with 47% favorable and 48% unfavorable.

John Rogers, Cygnal’s Director of Client Strategy, attributed Trump’s growing popularity to his focus on pressing voter concerns. “Swing voters are plus seven percent in support of Trump’s efforts, led by Elon Musk, to right-size the federal government, and swing voters are plus 29 percent in support of the Trump administration’s actions on illegal immigration,” Rogers noted. He emphasized that “Congressional Democrats are rudderless and unpopular, with a net image of negative 14 (40% favorable/54% unfavorable) among all voters.”

Trump’s policy actions are resonating with voters across the board, particularly on economic issues. The survey found that 32% of voters identified inflation and the economy as top concerns, with many attributing the improving economic outlook to Trump’s policies. Additionally, the percentage of voters concerned about illegal immigration dropped from 21% to 17% since Trump implemented stricter border security measures.

The Cygnal survey also highlighted key voter preferences, such as 64% favoring merit-based hiring in government jobs over DEI initiatives, including 55% of Hispanics and 41% of Democrats. Furthermore, 53% supported Trump’s aggressive stance on illegal immigration, and 55% opposed sanctuary cities protecting criminal aliens.

A notable 56% backed Trump’s executive order to release classified files related to the JFK, RFK, and MLK assassinations, while 50% approved of his 10% tariffs on Chinese imports. The survey also revealed a 14-point drop in the percentage of Americans who believe the country is on the wrong track, signaling growing confidence in Trump’s leadership.

As the 2026 midterm elections loom, Democrats face a daunting challenge. Trump’s growing support among Black and Hispanic men signals a potential fracture in the traditional Democratic coalition. The “Ticked-Off, Young, Diverse, Working-Class” voters who backed Trump in 2024 appear to be solidifying as a crucial part of his base. Focused on economic issues, religious values, and working-class priorities, this voter bloc poses a significant hurdle for Democrats, who are struggling to maintain credibility with key constituencies.
