Trump Just Named the 2028 GOP Ticket?!

>> Continued From the Previous Page <<

For those who remember the bitter 2016 primary fights between Trump and Rubio, this suggestion is nothing short of remarkable. Rubio, once seen as too establishment for MAGA voters, has since transformed his image under Trump’s leadership, emerging as a respected foreign policy voice and a loyal member of the administration.

While some viewed Rubio as an unlikely pick for a MAGA-aligned ticket, Trump’s remarks could be signaling a broader strategic plan: unite the populist base with more traditional conservatives to create an unstoppable Republican coalition in 2028.

Despite the buzz, Trump emphasized that it’s “too early” to lock in any 2028 decisions. He also reminded reporters that he’s not seeking a third term—a constitutional impossibility, though it’s often joked about among his base. Still, Trump’s coyness keeps everyone talking—and keeps him at the center of the political universe.

According to political insiders, Trump’s comments may be a masterstroke. By keeping the 2028 guessing game alive, he delays the inevitable power struggle that typically follows a two-term presidency. Instead, he continues to guide the party’s direction while grooming successors on his own terms.

And it looks like Rubio is already warming up to the idea. In a recent appearance on “My View With Lara Trump,” Rubio openly praised Vance’s leadership and hinted that he’d back a Vance 2028 run.

“Well, I think JD Vance would be a great nominee. If he decides he wants to do that. I think he’s doing a great job as Vice President. He’s a close friend and I hope he intends to do it,” Rubio said during the interview.

Rubio, who currently serves as Secretary of State, kept things cautious—citing legal limitations on participating in domestic politics while in that role—but left the door wide open for what could happen next.

“It’s kind of early, you know, but being in the role that I’m in here at the Secretary of State, I really don’t play in politics,” he said. “There’s actually rules against me being involved in domestic politics.”

Rubio made it clear that he’s committed to his current job through the end of Trump’s second term, but didn’t shut down the possibility of joining Vance on a future ticket. “You never know what the future holds. You never rule things out or anything.”

It’s no secret that Rubio and Vance share a strong bond. Rubio even called Vance “one of my closest friends in politics.” Should the two team up in 2028, they could pose a serious threat to any Democrat contender.

The 2028 race may be years away, but betting markets are already tracking the early favorites. According to the prediction platform Polymarket, JD Vance leads the pack with a 27 percent chance of winning the White House.

On the Democrat side, California Governor Gavin Newsom is the closest competitor at 17 percent, followed by far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at 10 percent. Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is still hanging on, though barely.

And where’s Kamala Harris, the Democrats’ failed 2024 nominee? She’s sitting at a dismal 4 percent—behind Trump himself, who can’t even run again. That tells you everything you need to know about the Democrats’ 2028 prospects.

As Trump prepares to finish his second term, the MAGA movement appears to be in strong hands. With JD Vance rising fast and Marco Rubio possibly returning to the national stage, the America First agenda looks set to dominate long after Trump leaves office.
