In a stunning decision that’s sending shockwaves across the country, a federal judge has ordered the Trump Administration to retrieve and return a suspected MS-13 gang member who had already been deported to El Salvador. The ruling, handed down Friday by U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis, demands the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia—an alleged gang leader accused of trafficking and other serious crimes—by Monday.
Xinis claims that the deportation violated the Administrative Procedures Act, arguing it was carried out without proper judicial oversight. But critics say this is just another example of unelected judges undermining the rule of law and putting violent criminals above the safety of American citizens.

The Department of Justice has responded swiftly, promising to challenge the ruling immediately. “We plan to immediately appeal the judge’s ruling,” DOJ officials said Friday.
Though the Trump Administration admitted the removal may have involved an “administrative error,” it is standing firm in its position that Garcia poses a serious threat. Officials say Garcia has documented connections to MS-13, one of the most savage and bloodthirsty gangs operating in the Western Hemisphere.
