President Donald Trump unleashed a fiery rebuke of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy this week, accusing the embattled leader of torpedoing critical peace talks with reckless and inflammatory rhetoric.
Taking to Truth Social on Wednesday, Trump ripped into Zelenskyy after the Ukrainian president flatly rejected a proposed deal that would solidify Russia’s hold over Crimea — a move Trump believes could finally pave the way for peace after years of bloody conflict.

Zelenskyy, speaking at a press conference, declared, “Ukraine will not legally recognize the occupation of Crimea. There’s nothing to talk about here. This is against our constitution.”
Trump, not holding back, fired back with a blistering response: “This statement is very harmful to the Peace Negotiations with Russia in that Crimea was lost years ago under the auspices of President Barack Hussein Obama, and is not even a point of discussion.” He continued, “Nobody is asking Zelenskyy to recognize Crimea as Russian Territory but, if he wants Crimea, why didn’t they fight for it eleven years ago when it was handed over to Russia without a shot being fired?”
