A political breakup nobody saw coming just went nuclear. Former President Donald Trump has officially turned his fire on Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a onetime MAGA warrior he once elevated as one of his fiercest defenders. After her widely discussed appearance on “60 Minutes,” Trump made it clear he is done playing nice and he is not holding anything back.
The former president lit up social media early Monday with a post that signaled the end of their political alliance. He mocked Greene with a new nickname and accused her of unraveling under pressure. Trump wrote that the “only reason Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown (Green turns Brown under stress!) went BAD is that she was JILTED by the President of the United States (Certainly not the first time she has been jilted!)” He went even further and said she pushes “really BAD” ideas before adding, “She sort of reminds me of a Rotten Apple!”
Trump did not stop with Greene. He also blasted CBS and its flagship program, taking aim at the network’s ownership and the direction of the show. He said the new leadership tied to Oracle billionaire Larry Ellison has done nothing to fix what he calls a failing program. Trump wrote that his “real problem with the show, however, wasn’t the low IQ traitor, it was that the new ownership of 60 Minutes, Paramount, would allow a show like this to air.” He then reminded viewers that he once “was paid millions of Dollars for FAKE REPORTING” in a past dispute with the program.
