Back when Trump was president, he tried to stop this scheme by excluding illegal aliens from the census count. But unelected bureaucrats and liberal judges shut him down.
Now, Trump’s coming back stronger—and this time, he’s not alone.
In a fiery announcement, Trump and DeSantis made it clear: they’re ready to flip the script and restore fairness to the system.
“I’ll speak for both of us. We love it,” Trump said about the plan to redo the census. “You’re gonna like this one…we want to bring our elections back…Ron would love it, I would love it…you know, Ron, they include anyone that happens to be in your state.”
DeSantis laid it all out: if the census were honest, blue states like California would lose multiple seats in Congress.
“California would lose like 5 seats if they did a fair census,” DeSantis said. “The Biden census gypped Florida of at least 1 seat. We only got 1 seat…Texas should’ve had another one. That could be the difference in the House.”
In other words, red states are being shortchanged—while blue states inflate their political muscle using people who aren’t even supposed to be here.
“I would love for them to re-do the Census for ’26. We’ll redistrict those lines,” DeSantis added with a grin.
According to forecasts from The American Redistricting Project, if things stay the same, Florida and Texas could gain seven electoral votes combined by 2030—just from population shifts.
But if only American citizens are counted? That changes everything.
Florida was projected to get two new seats in 2020 but only got one. Officials later admitted that 171,000 people were missed—costing the state another seat. A similar story played out in Texas, where an undercount likely cost them a third seat.
Add those seats back in, and Republicans could secure a solid electoral majority—without relying on traditional battlegrounds like Pennsylvania or Wisconsin.
That’s why the Left is in full panic.
Let’s be honest: Democrats’ loyalty to illegal aliens has nothing to do with compassion.
It’s all about securing more votes and clinging to power.
If only citizens are counted, Democrats lose House seats, Electoral College clout, and their road to the White House gets a lot harder.
Polling shows Americans aren’t thrilled with Trump’s past immigration policies—47% disapprove. But that hasn’t stopped Democrats from going all in on sanctuary cities and open borders. They know they’re finished if the system goes back to serving Americans.
They’re terrified, and it shows.
The Constitution requires a census every ten years, counting the “whole number of free persons.” But the Founders never imagined millions of foreign nationals living in the country illegally would tilt representation in Congress.
Conservatives argue that only American citizens should be represented in government—that’s the essence of a republic.
The Equal Representation Act, which would add a citizenship question and base congressional seats on citizen numbers, has already passed the House. Predictably, Democrats oppose it.
Their opposition says it all—they’d rather protect a rigged system than defend the rights of actual American voters.
If Trump and DeSantis succeed in forcing a fair census before 2026, blue states like California, New York, and Illinois could lose seats overnight.
Meanwhile, red states that have been shortchanged for years—like Florida and Texas—would finally gain their rightful share of representation.
This could reshape the electoral map in 2030 in ways the Left dreads. One conservative outlet called it “electoral armageddon” for Democrats, and it’s not hard to see why.
Mass migration from blue states during COVID only made the red states stronger. Add a fair census, and Democrats could be wiped out.
They’re already low on funds, low on morale, and watching their long-standing strategy collapse before their eyes.
No wonder they’re in full-blown meltdown.
Trump and DeSantis are taking the fight to the very core of the Democrats’ power structure—and they just might win.
